NOISY RAIN
MAGAZINE

Noisy Rain Magazine is an independent international publication dedicated to the exploration of the male figure within contemporary visual culture.

Since its inception, the project has developed into an extensive archive, comprising more than ninety issues and the work of over two hundred artists worldwide. What emerges is not a singular perspective, but a continuous field of interpretations surrounding the male body, identity, intimacy, and sexuality.

The male body has historically occupied a central position in art — as form, as symbol, as projection.

Yet within contemporary visual culture, its representation, particularly in relation to nudity and sexuality, often remains constrained or displaced.

Noisy Rain operates within this tension, establishing a space where these explorations can exist without reduction.

The project began at a time when independent digital platforms were still limited in scope and accessibility.

It emerged not as a platform of exposure, but as a structure of presentation.

Each issue is conceived as a curated sequence, where works are placed within a controlled visual and editorial framework.

The magazine exists both in digital form and as a printed object, extending its presence beyond the screen.

Founded and directed by visual artist E. Hirano.
